Stephen Yuen

Non-executive Chairman, InfraRed NF

Stephen joined InfraRed NF in 2007 as its Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he has directly overseen the investment and ongoing asset management of Fund I, with a particular focus on deal selection, problem-solving and managing key relationships in China.

Stephen brings 49 years of experience in the real estate sector, having joined both the Lands Department and Housing Department of Hong Kong in his first 10 years, and thereafter worked for multiple publicly listed property companies including Lai Fung Holdings Limited, Lai Sun Development Limited, VXL Capital Limited, Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited and a subsidiary of New World Development Group. His experience covers land acquisition, development, project management, marketing, sales, leasing, agency and asset management in Greater China and Southeast Asia. He has chaired numerous government committees in the real estate sector and has regularly advised local Chinese government authorities on real estate policies since 1988. Stephen has also served as a President/Chairman of numerous related professional institutions.

Stephen has a Master of Science degree from the University of Hong Kong and is an Eminent Fellow Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate Administration, the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Hong Kong Institute of Housing. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an Associate Member of the H.K. Institute of Arbitrators, a Registered Professional Housing Manager and a Registered Estate Agent.

On 1 July 2012, Stephen was awarded the Medal of Honour by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in recognition of his contribution to the real estate industry.
